Igaliku Hotel & Lodges offer cosy and comfortable accommodation combined with delicious meals made from local products and served at our restaurant.

The hiking opportunities are some of the best in the area, with at least two full day-hikes through stunning landscapes. Furthermore, the village itself is the perfect place to kick back and relax. You can rest with a book outside your cabin, go fishing at Lake 90 or explore the ancient Norse ruins of the former Episcopal residence.

Country Hotel & Café

Igaliku area"A unique place to experience the slow and tranquil life in the Greenlandic countryside."

Our hotel is a small and cosy country hotel located in the middle of Igaliku. Just outside our entrance you will find yourself among grazing sheep, chickens, shepherd dogs and green fields.  

We have 8 rooms for double/single use. The rooms at the hotel are small and simple but with comfortable beds. All rooms have been refurbished in 2021. There are separate showers and toilets in the corridor shared with other guests. All rooms include bed linen, towels, and breakfast.


Igaliku Café

Igaliku Café is a part of the Hotel. Here, we serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you want to spend the day hiking in the area, you can order a lunch packet. Dinner consist of two main dishes with Greenlandic products. You can buy soft drinks, beer and wine to accompany your meal. We also sell coffee, tea, homemade cake, chocolate, snacks, post cards, maps and a number of souvenirs.


Guest House

In 2021, we established a guest house in Igaliku just next to our cabins. The guest house is a large wooden cabin with a modern interior design. Inside, you will find a large entrance in connection to the common living room. The guest house has 4 rooms for double/single use. The rooms are small and simple but with comfortable beds. There is a shared toilet and shower. In the small tea kitchen you will find a water boiler with complimentary coffee and tea. Please notice, that cooking food is not possible in the kitchen. 

All rooms include bed linen, towels, and breakfast at the hotel.


Igaliku areaOur wooden cabins are the perfect choice of accommodation if you prefer some more privacy and a comfortable home during your stay in Igaliku. The cabins are placed on the mountain side just 2 minutes’ walk above the hotel. Each cabin has a wonderful terrace with a small bench from where you can enjoy the view and the silence of Greenland. Inside, you will find a cozy interior design with comfortable beds, a large table, and comfy chairs. The cabins all have private shower and toilet facilities, they are heated, have electricity and a water boiler for coffee and tea. Complimentary coffee and tea are offered in the cabins.

All rooms include bed linen, towels and breakfast at the hotel.

The Villa
The villa is your unique opportunity to relax and enjoy the stay in a private home with all modern facilities included. Our villa is placed in the middle of the village a short walk from the hotel. In the villa you will find a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom, two bedrooms (double), a small loft, a large living room with perfect view to the fjord and mountains and a 360-degree sun terrace. With space for 4 persons plus extra mattresses on the loft (2 persons) it is the obvious choice for the large family or group. Next to the villa we have a modern annex with an extra bedroom for two persons. You can always add this to your booking if you are a larger group or family. The rent includes bedlinen and towels. Meals can be ordered at the nearby Igaliku Café or you can buy groceries in the local shop and cook by yourself. Wireless internet (Wi-Fi) is available at the Country Hotel for a fee.

Guest House


When travelling to Igaliku by boat, you will typically disembark at Itilleq, which is a 4 km walk on a gravel road from the village. You can choose to have your luggage transported by car or, if you are not up to completing the walk, you can also order a car transfer.

Transport of luggage: EUR/DKK 10/70 per person (one way).
Transfer by car: EUR/DKK 41/300 per tour (one way) (1-4 persons).
